happy deepavali! yeah.. a holiday but im gonna spend the whole day trying to finish my essay.

one of my lit essays had a question like this. to link sight to violence. the object of vision. to objectify someone so that he or she comes within ur vision. as long as u are seen by someone, u become objectified. it doesn't matter how the person looks at u, u are still an object of observation. probably with inferences linked. according to the lecturer, there is a sin to such violence. wat is this sin then? the sin of witnessing violence done to others? the sin of imposing violence with the influence of sight? or the sin to extrapolate such violence knowing that it is wrong to do so?
discrimination. we may not realise. but it is violence. linked to sight. don't we all do this every other day? to be negative towards something and then linking them to nasty tots. but how else do we know that our object of discrimination will not in turn commit the same violence upon others who appear to be less sufficient?
once again, it appears to be just another cycle. just like seasons of the year.
